Flag Football in Mississauga

Flag Football MississaugaThe details are in!  Join us for a great season of Flag Football in Mississauga!

The volunteers at the Mississauga Football League have been working hard with everyone involved to fine tune the details of our first season of Flag Football in Mississauga.  Things are really starting to come together and it looks like it will be a fun season for sure.  After input from parents and coaches they have tweaked a few items, read the following for all the info or check out www.M-F-L.ca for more information.

After 40 Seasons of Tackle and many requests the MFL is offering Flag football to our younger players.  Flag will be offered for the following age groups for Spring Summer:
Tyke:  7 & 8 year olds (born 2004, 2003)
Atom:  9 & 10 year olds (born 2002, 2001 and 2000 as long they are 10 as of July 31)
Season will start May 29th and run to July 24th.  Games and practice will be held Sunday at Erindale SS(location subject to change)  as follows:
5:00 – 6:00 pm – practice for  kids born 2004, 2003 – ages 7 & 8
6:00 – 7:00 pm – games for  kids born 2004, 2003 – ages 7 & 8
6:00 – 7:00 pm – practice for kids born 2002, 2003 and 2000 ages 9 & 10
7:00 – 8:00 pm – games for kids  born 2002, 2003 and 2000 ages 9 & 10
First practice May 29th all players are to arrive a field at 5:00 – no game practice only for all players
Last game will be held on Sunday July 24th in conjunction with a League BBQ, location TBD
It is suggested that all players have cleats, no metal. All players will be given a MFL T-shirt on the last game day.  Practice will be held just prior to the game each week. This is a non contact recreational league with an emphasis on skill development.  It is our hope that the players will join our fall program. The Atom age players as part of our Tackle program and the Tykes for another season of Flag.
This program will really be a great addition to the Mississauga sports scene for kids!
